You Ever Witnessed Your Dog Killing Another Dog?

What did you do?

My friend texted me earlier telling me her dog Ziya killed her favorite dog Sniper over a bone. She said she cried because she couldn't do anything to stop it. She's so heartbroken I don't know what to say to comfort her 馃槩.

This may sound harsh, But I adopted an old three-legged black lab that was dropped off on my farm by unknown person(s). It acted fine for a couple of weeks, then one day I walked out of my home and watched it attack and kill a chicken I had, then another one after that and then a third before I could stop it. Needless to say it was his last day moments on earth.

Then two weeks later I found out that the same dog had mauled a 9-year-old boy two counties away from my farm when the ass hole who dropped it off at my farm originally showed up in person with papers from the court and humane society demanding the dog be put down. I walked the ass to where I buried the dog and said dig it up and take it with you if you so desire. I gave the idiot a signed note I had it put down with my address and phone number to give to the court. The court staff called me a week later to want to schedule coming out to see if it was really done. I said bring a shovel and since the thing has been in the ground for a month bring masks for the Oder and that somebody needs to reimburse me for my livestock losses, so bring a check book too. Then they said they would consider the case closed and no need to come out.

So, once a dog attacks or kills and learns it can and gets away with it, it will do it again, and I would tell your friend not to bring a new dog home with her, so it won't get killed.

@WillaKissing why was it killed? Rabies?
WillaKissing56-60
@assemblingaknob The court and the humane society ordered the dog to be put down after it had attacked and mauled a 9 year old child. The owner of the dog dumped it off at my farm a week after the mauling trying to hide the dog. I knew nothing of this court case or the mauling. I was very explicit about the reasons why the dog was ordered to be put down. Reread what I wrote, but either way when a dog attacks a child or person in my state and the authorities/law /courts get involved they order the owner to put the dog to sleep. And I as a farm livestock owner cannot have a dog killing my livestock that is a part on my income source. So, I put the dog down for killing my livestock, so either way by me or a court order the dog had to be put down.

Okay?

@WillaKissing exactly what you said, mostly describes a rabid dog. Hence I asked. No need to get so defensive.

Okay?
WillaKissing56-60
@assemblingaknob No it was not a rabid dog. Some dogs/animals just snap and revert to their wild instincts. Nearly all the dogs that attack humans are not rabid. They are nasty by nature just like some human beings like Charles Manson was evil and nasty but did not have rabies.

Okay!

@WillaKissing ok sissy.

@WillaKissing because you're very humane is why you killed a dog that was just acting on instinct. Makes you a dangerous animal that has potential to kill too tbh. you should be put down too?
Thanks for your time, sissy.

@WillaKissing I think you did what you had to do. Who knows what the dog would have done to you when he was done with the chickens.

@Thandeka Thank you, and yes you are right, or say I had friends with small children visit me on my farm.
