Bruno was attacked today!


Bruno got attacked by a husky... Stupid woman didn't have her dog on the lead
She was calling him and he wasn't listening... Bruno did his usual annoying sitting down thing. Things were fine until she came over to put the lead on and he started getting aggressive
Now He's got two marks from where the teeth or claws grazed the fur off his back through his jumper.

He was so distressed. I pulled him away so that's why that is all that happened thank God!

People know if thier dog can be aggressive, so keep them on a lead. I knew one of mine was unpredictable, so he was on the lead.
My other dog was attacked by three big black labs. He would stay near me if there were any other dogs especially black dogs.
Poor Bruno, give him some treats and plenty of hugs.

I'm sorry that happened. People do irresponsible things regarding their ability to control their dog's behavior. The other owner didn't realize that as she approached, her husky's natural response is to go into protect mode. Had she kept her distance, this probably wouldn't have happened.

@Mellowgirl I spent a lot of time working at a pet hospital. A lot of times when a dog shows aggression around the owner, we would take the dog into a separate room and it would calm down. Regardless, there's no excuse for that woman not to have her dog leashed.

I am glad that it wasn't a ferocious battle. Now, is the time when you need to train your pet for attack mode and fight discipline. Veterans (as in the who serve in Military) are experts at it. Hope you find one.

My friend's Pitbull was trained by one. Being a Pitbull, it behaves and manages it's aggression better than us humans.馃槆

I am so sorry. When you see careless dog owners and dogs without leads in the future, I suggest you make a complaint to animal control. You don't want to pay the veterinarian for a serious repair to a serious injury.
