Why do some men treat women as dolls?

Treating women as dolls is a form of objectification that reduces them to passive, ornamental, or controllable accessories rather than autonomous individuals.

This behavior often involves ignoring a woman's agency, opinions, and intelligence, treating her instead as a "porcelain doll" meant only for display or fulfilling specific, limited roles, such as in relationships or through, says a Marriage.com article.

Key aspects of this behavior include:
Objectification and Display:
Viewing a woman as a decorative accessory, often focusing heavily on maintaining a specific, artificial appearance or "dolled up" look.
Lack of Autonomy:
Ignoring a woman's thoughts, feelings, and decisions, effectively treating her as having no voice or independent agency, as noted in a Women Chapter article.
Controlling Behavior:
A partner acting as if they own or possess the woman, treating her as a "reborn" or lifelike object to be managed rather than a partner, as a Marriage.com article says.
Hypersexualization:
Reducing a woman to a "fetishized object" or sexualized toy.
Gendered Expectations:
Reflecting societal pressures where women are conditioned to be submissive, passive, and agreeable, acting as a "docile mouse" rather than an equal, says a Reddit post and Women Chapter.

This treatment often creates a power imbalance, stemming from a desire for control and a lack of respect for the woman's dignity as a human being.

It has been happening since the birth of time. The equal rights for women is a very recent change. I for one, think it is better to have equality, but we also have to provide extra benefits to the women who want to have a family. That part of society is not wonderful in many places. In the US we have not enough alternatives for child car once a woman has a child.
