Yes I don't understand why anyone who is not a fascist would willingly engage with known fascists, or even WANT to do so
And in particular on SW I don't understand why any non-fascist would even give fascists an opening to interact, rather than preemptively block them when you know for sure they are fascists
I mean is it like "I know they're a fascist, but they tell funny jokes" or something ... great, but they're still a fascist and they'd still happily erode your freedoms if given the chance
The powers of some people to rationalize these sorts of exceptions just baffles me, just as it does for people who A) claim to love the environment, B) know that AI is destroying the environment and yet C) nevertheless continue to regularly use AI-generated images ... they talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk, it's just another variation of hypocrisy, and just further enables absolutely horrid companies like OpenAI and Anthropic
