@4meAndyou Did you have to try hard or did it come naturally?

@cherokeepatti I was a smart kid, and tried to hide it to fit in. So nothing really came naturally for me...until I found the art club, arts and crafts, and Drama Club. THEN I found a few places that made me happy.

@4meAndyou They thought I was weird when I was a teenager cause I talked about gardening in the summer…I liked to garden and always have since I was two-and-a-half years old. Nothing so wonderful as planting little bitty seeds and then getting plants that grow and grow and give you beans or fruit or whatever.

@cherokeepatti I went to school in Massachusetts, where there are few farmers and gardening is for grown ups...summers when I was little I loved to see vegetable gardens and tour them out in Nebraska. My great Aunts, my grandmother on my mother's side...almost all my relatives kept vegetable gardens.

My great Aunts on my father's side had the best veggie garden. HUGE beefsteak tomatoes, kohlrabi, which I had never heard of before, string beans, rhubarb...

That reminds me...how IS Rhubarb doing?

@4meAndyou Doing OK. Was not around here much when the students were out of school on Christmas break. The day school started up again here comes Rhubarb in the afternoon looking all friendly and pettable. I bet those girls around the corner spoiled him all to hell. Not even coming around for food. This happens every holiday break, Thanksgiving break, Spring break too.

@cherokeepatti He has figured out life as a feral cat, for sure. He fills his niche. And I'll bet you missed the little sour puss...🤣🤣🤣 MY cat, Mr. Kitty Baby, was snoring earlier today. REALLY funny...

@4meAndyou I wasn’t worried about him, let’s just put it that way. The cost of canned cat food has risen so much that those girls are saving me a wad of money. I did buy some chicken gizzards and cook them and fed him yesterday.

@cherokeepatti No eggs for Rhubarb, I'll betcha.

@4meAndyou Not till the prices get reasonable. I don’t want to run out of eggs to cook with. I bake so much in the winter, my tapioca cheese rolls use them and a pizza batter recipe too. I make muffins, bar cakes, waffles and other things with eggs too.

@cherokeepatti I want to learn how to make lemon filling with them. Lemon bars are something I really miss. Used to be a bakery right in town that sold the BEST lemon bars...and then their kitchen caught fire and they didn't restart.
