I Can Be Socially Awkward Sometimes

Okay so...does anyone else think being complimented is a bad conversation starter? Because it just makes me feel weird and awkward. There's this guy that I see every so often that works at the place next to [i]my [/i]workplace and he always smiles at me in a creepy way. We had only greeted each other with the 'hellos' and 'how are yous'. And even a simple encounter like that puts me in an awkward state. Today I saw him again except this time he told me, "You look so fantastic today with your hair to the side like that." I didn't really know what to say so I said something about wanting to get my hair out of my face; avoiding saying thank you because I feel like saying thank you says, "I agree," which I didn't. Except I think the way I said whatever I was saying didn't really make sense so that made the situation more embarrassing... 😂😭
