I wish I wasn't shy in the real world

All the thoughts and feelings I express here is who I am. I come off ,I believe ,more confident here than I ever could in the real world.
It really gets me down ,because my shyness stops me from so many things and no, I can't just stop being shy.
If I could have stopped being so- I would have definitely stopped before I hit the ripe old age of 58.

In my case is not shyness, it's full-on social anxiety. I avoid people like the plague. I used to think I was just "shy" but eventually realized it was much deeper. It undermined any chance I had at success or prosperity.
