I Am Shy

One time a person told me the following:
"Wow! This is the first time I've met someone as shy as you!"
It pissed me off...🙄

I talked to my cousin about it and she didn't understand why someone pointing out my shyness made me feel like that.

How do you feel when someone points out your shyness??

Someone might say something like that as a way to break the ice with someone that is quiet or reserved as a way to see if they can get them to say something back.

@Siebje ah ok then maybe he was feeling you out to see if you're shy or if you were just quiet because you didn't like him

@Siebje but I understand how and why it made you feel as it did but on the other hand it's not easy for someone to know you without clarifying things. I'm a quiet person, not exactly shy, but I often listen more than speak and sometimes wish talkative people wouldn't talk so much. lol but people that know me have come to understand that about me.

And I usually listen more than talk too and my friends and family know and accept that 😂

@Siebje that's who you are and there's nothing wrong with being who you are. The people that accept you for how and who you are are the only ones that really matter. People that want to change you are only being selfish to suit their own needs and not yours. 🤗
