Nearly every damn time I ask self-labeling "centrists" to motivate, with examples, how "both sides are exactly just as bad" I'm faced with silence

@Elessar people like that have a very lazy morality. They just want to get rid of everything instead of having some principles and standing up against clear cut toxic beliefs etc

@deadgerbil I think they're just far-rightwingers in the closet. They realize that openly sprouting rightwing nonsense don't get them laid, and the average person who don't follow politics much might fall for or even sympathize with their "aKsHuAlLy I'M aPoLiTiCaL, BoTh SiDeS SuCk" façade
