Am I the only person who thinks 21 centuries is pretty short time period

100 years each... it is so little.

Yet we humans achieved so much and destroyed so much too.

I know this isn't counting before Jesus Christ.

Yeah it's nothing. Civilizations existed 10000 years before Jesus Christ.
For some reasons "some people" think that life started with Abraham or Jesus Christ.

@Miram it's the current calendar. The fact that dominant religious figures represent starting points of our calendars can easily make one think there was no civilization beyond that point zero.
