Why are some people on here so rude and sarcastic?

I have gotten some very rude and sarcastic replies on some of my posts. Similar worlds is supposed to be a place to get support and understanding not meanness. What is wrong with people? They must love ripping vulnerable people . I already have poor self esteem and mental health issues and a very sensitive temperament /personality. For example, when I said I was looking for a husband that I do feel affection for and can grow to love to help me financially and emotionally, people made fun of me.

it can range. sometimes its a joke misfire. sometits people who a twistedly miserable and want that for everyone. in your case it was probably the sort of thing not taken seriously. lots of people playing around with weird catfishy stuff, they likely thought you'd were trolling.

@dirge yes when we talk in real life you can change your tone of voice from serious to playful or whatever so it helps to convey what you mean. Online mere words can be misconstrued. I think that’s one reason for emojis.
