Respect your elders.

Standing in a queue in Sainsburys, lulled on my feet into a semi-coma as it seemed like an age since I took even one step forward, when a young woman walked up to the next checkout and barged in front of an elderly man. Not a word from the checkout girl who saw it and despite disaproving call outs from her audience, she went through and paid for her shopping. I would have tipped my basket on her head and gone to Tesco's.
Nasty piece of work. Girl should have refused to serve her and called someone in charge.

The workers at a store, especially the cashier, are not really allowed to say anything when a customer acts like a sh*t.

It does kind of suck how the Karens of society get away with their BS though.
But on the other hand, you cannot let someone else's bad behavior cause you to get yourself in trouble as well.

@Idontdomornings Just sucks cause someone else acts like a jackass but if you retaliate then YOU are the bad guy. What the hell can you even do?

@CestManan Nothing, just keep your tongue between your teeth! 🙂

@Idontdomornings In this particular case though, maybe everyone just let the woman do her thing so she would be gone and out of everyone's hair faster.
What a piece of garbage.

@MsSwan Yep, and I hope she get it returned some day when she's old.
@Idontdomornings 👍 me too

There are pricks about.
I would had severely admonished her and the checkout girl.
This is why these people get away with doing what they do. Not enough people have the guts to stand up to them.

@Gusman It's true, the girl should have refused to serve her, but I guess she was afraid of losing her job. But in this case, her manager could have said the customer isn't always right!
You’d think the elderly would be in a hurry. Time is short.

@BoredDarkLord I guess I should have added.. 'not'.
@Idontdomornings I’m older than you. You’ve got to respect me, right?
