I Wonder Why Some People Are So Rude

I've noticed a trend on EP (and hopefully you don't all get bent out of shape). I think there's a large percentage of adults on here who just assume that all teenagers are stupid and have nothing of merit to say. That's fine, who am I to dictate what you should think? What really interests me is when an adult (who you would assume is mature) unnecessarily attacks a teenager on a post they made. This has actually happened to me a few times recently and I'm not really bothered by it but I do find it interesting (and quite honestly, fun). What what I've been told in the past week from adults on here is...
1. What I think doesn't matter because I'm only 14 (although he did flatter me and call me 15) :)
2. I'm the most annoying person another guy has ever met (although he actually never met me. It came about because I asked the question 'Who is the most annoying person you ever met and why?' and his answer was 'tou' *translation for those of you who can spell*...'you'). This led directly into my next point...
3. I'm stupid for caring about spelling and grammar. I guess I should start using txt spk! :)
4. Apparently, 117 lbs for a 14 year old is 'overweight' so I need to start dieting.
5. I am smug, a prick, have self esteem issues, a cretin, and 'little miss perfect.'
6. I have no business responding to rude comments on the posts I make...(that's what makes me a prick apparently).
So thank you adults for paving the way for us teenagers. The world is a brighter place with you in it.

To be honest most teenagers are stupid, I was stupid when I was a teenager but with the increase of technology and stupid social networks it's only going to make teenagers dumber. I had a 15 y/o tell me he wants to desexualise the human breasts but didn't think about how stupid, unnecessary and impossible it is.

Oh! Most teenagers are stupid? Based on the fact that you were stupid when you were a teenager? Or is that based on one stupid thing a teenager has said to you? That's completely logical. So is it fair to make general assumptions about any specific group of people? Let's try it. You hear about men who rape women? Well, most men are rapists, aren't they? Here's one that should hit home for you (judging by your profile picture). I saw a black gang member the other day. Of course! Most black people are gang members, aren't they? No, obviously not. What do I know really? I'm just a 'stupid teenager.' :)

I seriously can't get over how much of a miss that was xD, you can't compare the too as teenagers minds are still developing and teenagers go through puberty and are going through school. Also using my race to make a point only serves to show how dumb your generation is.

Can you read? It's not comparing teenagers to black people. It's pointing out that generalisations in themselves are not fair. Yes, let's just go on throwing around insults. Haha! That's mature, you are so smart! You made an unfair generalisation and she compared it to other unfair generalisations.

It's funny because if you knew shit all about black people and our past with whites you'd know why the generalisation of black people like that is unfair and false but what would I expect from a 15 year old white girl and well I assume you're white as well. If you're going to sit here and honesty think that a majority of teenagers are smart even with all these stupid social networks, trends and advancing technology then I'd guess you belong with them.

Did she say that any discrimination against black people is right? I don't think so. It's fair for you to make a generalisation but it's horribly wrong for her to show you that by using an example that would he personal to you? I'm white, is that a problem? I have MANY black friends so don't creep too close to the racism accusation. So do you obviously! You're using social networking right now, so by that standard, you are also stupid!

I didn't compare black people to teenagers. That doesn't even make sense since there are loads of black teenagers. The two can't be compared. It was actually bang on in my opinion, which is all EP is, isn't it? I believe you meant, I can't compare the 'two' but again, I wasn't comparing. You're correct that teenagers minds are developing but that doesn't make us stupid. Given your age category, 18-21, means you are not that much older than I am, so you're actually part of my generation. Using my age to make a point goes to show how stupid you are. I'm sorry that you're offended by my statement but I'm not sorry for making it. It was simply an example (that is personal to you) that I used to show you how unfair your generalisation was. I'm sure all the mentally handicapped people appreciate your insult. Calling someone a 'retard' is actually not an insult to the person you say it to, but an offence to the people who actually are because you're belittling their condition. I guess morals only apply when it's a group you are a part of. This wasn't meant AT ALL to come across as a racist post, because I am not. Just because a person (apparently you target teens) uses social media, doesn't make them stupid. I know for a fact that I am not and your opinion on my intelligence is irrelevant.
