Oh let it go ffs😂
Language changes🤷♀️
If we can live with blogging, tweeting and googling, incels, yuppies, milfs, dawgs, sea kittens, griefing, gifs and selfies entering the language in the last 20 years....im sure we can get used to it.
Multiple pronouns isn't this new fangled thing :
French has two...even objects are gendered.
German has three.
Some languages have no genders and use distance pronouns instead
Native American Indian i think has five.
And some are even more complex and use semantics to imply gender like Chinese🤷♀️
It aint a probem unless you make it one

@OogieBoogie Still I've only seen they/them being used so it can't be such a big issue as some people make it seem to be.
OogieBoogie · F
@CrazyMusicLover frankly i use that one alot if im not sure - it covers all bases 😏
And if you go to the effort of learning someones name, you dont need to know their specific pronoun.
Its called being polite and having manners🤗
Kinda old fashioned values really😏😉

@OogieBoogie it’s only an issue if you insist other people use your pronouns .
OogieBoogie · F
@AthrillatheHunt Says a user with a gender identifier next to their name🤷♀️
Evidently you like pepole to know you as a man,as i do a woman.
Do we not most prefer some parameters to our identity? Ethnicity, age, gender, faith or not?

@OogieBoogie You're asking people to think too much and let go of their biases. The whole topic is a non starter to me, but look at this post, there are those taking every moment to display their bias and needing to feel validated of their opinion, but can't understand someone might want validation of how they identify as a gender.
It's rather ironic and fluff, nothing to do with them

@SW-User you are right as usual.
Its oneside screaming into the wind while the other does the same.
Never the twain shall meet.
It reminds me of like 40 years ago when people would give immigrants anglicized names - coz it was all too hard to learn their actual name 🙄
It just seems weird to me.
Such a tiny problem.

@OogieBoogie Never the twain shall meet, I love that expression. For those complaining, I suggest you ask, may I see your sex?
*****wait, on second thought, don't!*****

@OogieBoogie
It's still happening. Or they actually invent those names themselves to avoid problems in advance.
I prefer to use the English version of my name too if I'm introducing myself to a foreigner.

@CrazyMusicLover its such a shame that we feel we need to do that.
People can be so adverse to anything outside their box🤷♀️
