This is what I don’t understand

Have you ever met a bad person who pretends to be good until they get you alone and reveal who they are 😳

My question is why act? Why not just be upfront about it? What’s the sneakiness for?

Everyone eventually finds out it’s not like they’re really fooling anyone other than themselves

I know someone who turns like a leaf in the wind. Whenever they reveal that part of themselves, I wonder why do they do that. Is that a threat? Are you warning me to watch out for you? Are you seeking sympathy? Are you testing me how will I react? Did you misjudge me as someone who will approve of this as your kindred spirit?
Really, why do they do that?
