Probably.
I can see us heading down a very dark path (and not in a cool way), as people "live" more and more in the online world, with augmented and virtual reality seeping deeper into our lives, allowing people to just ignore actual reality.
There was something on tv recently, someone was living in a small crappy apartment but they were happy because they could go into VR where there's all this huge, beautiful open space and treating it like that was just as good as the real thing.
Too many people already don't care about what's real... for some reason, fake is good enough 🙄I will never be able to understand that. I do understand escapism but this is just getting absurd.
