While we're having a bit of fun with Italian words, we need to be careful not to confuse the following, as they all sound similar but have totally different meanings:
FURETTO - another small furry animal, in this case a ferret FARETTO - a spotlight, or one of those little halogen or diode down-lighter things that seem to be in everybody's ceilings these days FERRETTO - an underwire on a bra
Worse than this, when it comes to Italian to English {and vice versa} translation we have what we call "false friend" words that seems to mean something but they actually mean a very different,if not opposite, thing! TERRIFICANTE is not like TERRIFIC! Dreadful, very scary! Etc
