Is there any way I can look less Muslim?
It was only when I visited Thailand that I started to realize that I actually look very Muslim to so many people...
In Bangkok Airport there was this wonderful section for street food where I found this meal appealing![]()
So I asked the lady working in the restaurant:
[quote] is this chicken? 馃憖 [/quote]
She responded:
[quote]No, it's pork [/quote]
Me:
[quote] 馃槸 Nice! Can I have one meal please?[/quote]
Her:
[quote]Sir, it's pork [/quote]
Me:
[quote] ok, can I have one[/quote]
Her:
[quote] sir.... It's pork... 馃槵 [/quote]
Me:
[quote] ok, I understand. Can I have a meal please 馃ズ [/quote]
.... This went on and on for some time... I didn't understand what was happening, but I think we both were about to start crying...
The lady obviously got so stressed too, because she had to cut a boiled egg in half in the process of preparing the meal, while doing so, her hands where shaking and she dropped both halves on the ground. She picked another egg, cut it into two halves but accidentally drops them again on the ground... I remember she wasted a total of 3 eggs while preparing my meal...
I asked multiple of my friends from other countries and they confirmed that I look very Muslim, especially to Asians. Even on dating apps it seems that I usually match with more Muslims than non-Muslims 馃槶
Not trying to start any religious drama, it's just that a non-Muslim man cannot date a Muslim lady, it's a complete deal breaker so it's just awkward.
And I don't wanna be denied pork 馃槶

@NickiHijab Yes, but apparently people in many countries don't know that not all middle Easterns are Muslims. idk why she was so nervous about it tho. Maybe because she might get in trouble, maybe she has been specifically trained to avoid serving non-halal food to Muslims
