it offends me when people say “Mexican restaurants”

Instead of saying Spanish restaurant or Latino restaurant

Because why do Americans just assume that the only Latino residing people are Mexican?

That just irks me

It also irks me when people don’t understand culture and lump People together

People assume all Asians are Chinese

Or all Latinos are Mexican.

Spanish and Mexican food are two completely different, independent things lol, the distinction is absolutely meaningful.

It's as if we unified French and Italian kitchens under the sign of "European restaurants", and then serve you pizza with soup and some weird smelly cheese of their there.. 🥴
