Well where I live, they're called Mexican restaurants because we actually are all Mexican 🤷 it's like the majority here. I've never in my life heard of a "spanish restaurant" or even stuff like "puerto rican restaurant" or "dominican restaurant" 😅 I don't think they even exist here lol

@ChiefJustWalks you don’t have to call them Dominican or Puerto Rican 😂😂😂 you just say Latino or Spanish restaurant. Because how do you know if they’re Mexican or not?
But I understand if you come from certain states like Texas is a good example. Where are you from?
It’s very offensive to go around calling people Mexicans who aren’t Mexican. It also makes the person look uncultured and ignorant

@DeluxedEdition well I would know if they're Mexican or not... because I'm Mexican 👌 & yeah I understand the culture thing but imo "latino restaurant" just sounds silly. If anything, they should just learn the actual ethnicity 🤷 because if I heard somebody call a Mexican restaurant a "latino restaurant" around here I'd be kinda bothered by that 😂 because that also sounds uneducated but at least its not as bad as being completely wrong lol. & You can't call them all "spanish restaurant" either because how do you know if they're spanish or not? Only Spaniards are Spanish
I'm in Arizona though. We're mostly Mexican here
