Or are you trying to create a new narrative of who you are, and how you fit into the world around you?

Had a work party last night, for someone who was my boss for many years was leaving. There was lots of really expensive wine and food and a few people (other managers) were giving stories. I hadnt planned on saying anything, but i decided to stand up and tell a personal story to 60-70 people. About the guy leaving the company, and how he changed my life for the better. I cant really remember doing this kind of thing before, and im only writing this because im trying to keep being more socially courageous in publc, and see it as a good thing, not just something *i dont do*. Which is the narrative i always tell myself. Also. I didnt drink anything and that was really hard.

Photo just of a nice sunrise recently because its pretty 🌅

That sounds nice.
All my 'out of character' experiences tend to be on a very small/ personal level and in hindsight never feel significant.

@SW-User i think they add up.. a big one or 10 little one.. same really. Pluss we are all different levels of messed up. Ive been pretty messed up for a while.. so i think i need bigger changes to get to a life i feel is worth living. Does that make sense at all? Im just speculating.

@Coppercoil It makes perfect sense. Only you know what you need and it is good you're going for it.

@SW-User most days i feel the damage done is too extensive and the road to recovery will be too long and i dont have the will or the courage to make it. But i am trying. So thank you for seeing that and encouraging me ❤️

@Coppercoil I've been thinking about what you said - road to recovery will be too long. And to that, I want to say - it doesn't matter how long that road is. You just focus on the present day and as far as the next day, and in those do your best.

@SW-User that's what i need to keep close.. its so hard.. but the idea of starts and beginings, origins and ends, past and future, memories and expectations, these things consume us, but they arent reality, they arent were our lives are lived. Our lives only exist in the inbetween. Along the road to wherever we think we are going. Thank you for bringing that up.

@Coppercoil it was a good reminder for myself too.
