People who joke about being abused

I don't understand. Why and How is this funny? Like how they got abused, but making jokes about it.
Now I think they are lying. It is like they are on the abuser's side.

I always find it a bit unsettling when people who were abused joke about it, I mean each person has their own way of coping but to joke about something that horrible for me, has always been hard to take. Being abused is the last thing I'd joke about.
