I personally find is disgusting how we see each other…

As bodies and faces, as attitudes and enemies. We expose our meat bags to criticism on purpose, hoping someone will validate our attractiveness. All the makeup to conceal and smooth. Guarded personalities and better than thinking. We’re putting it all out there, but showing people nothing. It’s boring. The facade we put on, to feed our hungry egos, while we atrophy inside. It’s an easy route, been down it my fair share but it wasn’t until I did the inner work that my heart felt deeply safe inside my body. Everything else shines through. Some see it, some don’t, but that matters next to nothing when you’re good with your guts.

This is true and sad to watch.

People put on a facade and expect the validation of their worth from others. But the praise and flattery will not matter if they know what people are praising them for is not their truth.

It becomes a vicious cycle of constantly wanting that approval from others, while all the more robbing themselves of an honest look at who they really are.
