Dare I suggest the Original pilot with Captain Pike...it’s suitably dire but got worked into the Original Series that was made,
Pike about to finally get his own series of course.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales I appreciated how they did work that in to the series. Also excited about the Pike series. I think that is really going to hit on the points a lot of Trek Fans have been waiting for but haven’t found in Discovery and Picard
