It seems obvious, but, the man on top of the mountain didn't fall there

Yet so many people want to pillory him

Occasionally he climbed there on the backs of others…

@bijouxbroussard that's a myopic view though
@averageguy Doesn’t mean it can’t be accurate.

@bijouxbroussard it's a microscopic view, and that's the problem
@averageguy Sometimes, it’s an accurate view, though. To say it never happens is myopic…and naive.

@bijouxbroussard lol, but you want to put a blanket view on all
@averageguy Nooo…I started by saying,
Occasionally he climbed there on the backs of others…

You do understand “occasionally” doesn’t mean always, right ? And I followed up with "sometimes”.

I’m thinking you saw what you expected—
and not what I typed.

@bijouxbroussard and that's the whole problem. You want to be able to say 'sometimes', while attacking the whole organization. On your terms or beliefs, not on the law as established
@averageguy You made the statement:
the man on top of the mountain didn't fall there
… Yet so many people want to pillory him

My reply was,
Occasionally he climbed there on the backs of others

Which is sometimes the why behind being “pilloried” by others. Or do you think it always happens in a vacuum ? I wasn’t attacking you personally, I was reacting to your words, and thought you were speaking hypothetically, I was, as well.
averageguy · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard we can't speak hypothetically, there is no room for that anymore
@averageguy Why don’t you think so ?
