I am also an INFJ. I try to be a good friend to everyone, but you're only a best friend if I really feel a connection to you on a personal level. I'm horrible at parties because I don't do small talk. I don't see the point. A lot of people think I'm being rude, but I just don't do small talk well. But if you get me talking about religion, politics, mental health, or something of substance, I can really, really talk!

It can make a difference how strong your I, N, F, and J are - I know for me, my F/T are almost right in the middle, my N is moderately strong, and my I and P are super strong. I'm an INFP/INTP, and I had a friend once who was a strong INFJ - she read somewhere that IN people with a strong J come off as introverted in extroverted situations, and that IN people with a strong P come off as extroverted in extroverted situations.
