So I have a theory about ASMR ... And it's probably obvious, but I'm proud of myself, K?
I'm not referring to the weird, creepy ASMR vids,
But yeah
So really, a lot of ASMR sounds are just regular sounds we take for granted,
But amplified
And unless you're some sort of sound engineer for movies or something...
They you're probably oblivious to most of these sounds
And the reason some people experience head tingles with ASMR is because the sound very closely mimics the tiny sounds you can hear (if you listen hard enough) when you firmly run your fingers through your hair or scratch your sculp,
And the tingles come from the association to that sound
Basically like a sensory illusion
Works in a similar way to how taste and smell can be linked
