If they want heat, give them hell.

Apparently DeSantis might sign bills that say companies don't have to provide living wages, construction workers shouldn't be provided water and roll back heat protections for workers. That will change wages for people, if they depend on that for rent, you're gonna see a lot of stuff going down if people all of a sudden are forced to get second or third jobs or are evicted.

I've predicted this for a long time, it will take a long time to get to this point but our laws that SOME Republicans are trying to make are beginning to mirror that of developing worlds. It will take more than a few years but if they keep those laws on the books, we'll turn into a developing world quickly.

More maternal deaths and all cause mortality, at this point I have to ask if the United States is trying to remain a world power orrrrrr like is it some midlife crisis or something? I dunno.

Is America like finding itself at the moment? Or like what's wrong with people.

As a Florida resident, I am already planning to get my affairs in order and get the hell out of here in a few years.

As for Republicans turning us into a developing nation, it's about all they have left. Their primary goal has been to enable maximum wealth extraction. Their tools to do this have been appealing to the uneducated and those who wilfully remain ignorant in the name of faith. Republican policy, and in many cases the lack of any policy, is increasing wealth inequality, making social mobility more difficult, slowing immigrating that is useful for keeping our population growing, removing laws and regulations that protect our ecology, try to end public services and push them into the domain of private business and/or charity(often religious in nature). They claim government doesn't work, and then invest any part of government that is working well in order to break it.

It honestly makes me sad. My country is the wealthiest and most powerful nation on the planet in all of recorded history. And while no empire lasts forever, it feels like we're purposefully breaking ourselves down and actively trying to get rid of those titles from inside to sell off to the highest bidder.

We could be so much better.
