Is it rude to show up to a Zoom meeting with your screen blacked out?

It is weird when everyone in the group decides to read something together that they should havd read before. Its just a bunch of fools staring at their computers awkwardly for 10-15 minutes. Plus we are only supposed to meet for an hour and somehow it always turns into 3+ hours...

That is why I've been turning off my camera hahah

Fuck cameras when working from home. I don't want to put on clothes if I'm working from home. Also, fuck people who don't show up prepared to meetings

@SkeetSkeet the hard Idahoan life causes eye rolls

Now, I have approximately 4 zoom meetings a week...give or take.

I intentionally angle my camera oddly in relation to my screen orientation and room perspective just to screw with anyone in the meeting if they have nefariousness intentions of spying on me.

Is it paranoid? Not as much as being scutchy.

As long as you're there lol

No, that's what I always do, and a lot of the people I worked with over this year did. Blacked out until the meeting officially starts and then it comes on.
