teaching 😭

Yes, when you give up a lot personally and ask for a little that would be beneficial to both you and the company and you watch every one but you get those opportunities well you get nothing it's draining
Yes. I stopped trying to be a top performer, which made me feel like there wasn’t really a point besides getting my money and going home, and then I quit because I could do that for easier making more money somewhere else.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Oh yeah. Part of the reason I'm so driven to be a problem-solver for people in those situations at work.
@CountScrofula
I wish you were here.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
Yes. Twice. It wasn't the job it was the atmosphere. Retired and put all that behind me.
Yep...there was one job I had that caused a lot of sleepless nights
SW-User
@SW-User did you get a different job?
SW-User
@MarbleMarvel With the last one, I went back to college and completely changed my career. ☺
JRVanguard · 26-30, M
My current one 😌
@JRVanguard are you staying there?
JRVanguard · 26-30, M
@MarbleMarvel For now
Healthcare is just kinda draining in general
chasingThursday · 41-45, M

Most of that was who my manager was and who my coworkers were. Changed those elements but not my daily tasks and it was night and day.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
The work itself was fun but I hated internal rules, the pay, high employee turnover rate and commuting. I'd love that job if it was in a different company.
exexec · 70-79, C
Yes. I even consulted with the psychologist who was on retainer for the company. He confirmed the toxic nature of my job, so I resigned.
SW-User
Oh yeah. Emotionally and physically..I was living on adrenaline
Lilymoon · F
Yes and I quit. Also another one I transferred out.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M

I go to work with a heavy heart so yea.
Almost my life yes.
reubles · 41-45, M
Yes, but it replaced it with different things. I really loved and hated that job

3Dogmatic · 46-50, M
Yes, yes I did
Punches · 46-50, F
The proper term for that is "soul crushing job".

But yeah my last one.
deadgerbil · 26-30, M

@LunarOrbit poor management will really ruin it all
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
Absolutely. They are the worst.
My entire career, but the kids make it worthwhile.

My last work place pretty much killed me.

Yes. I was 23 in an office among coworkers who were middle aged, burnt out and miserable. I transferred out as soon as I could.
Like bartending?
