Weird question, but are medical staff trained to deny when someone is bleeding?

Like when I worked with propane I was trained to never say I could smell it even if I could, for liability issues.

I've had several operations and procedures where I go back actively bleeding and get told that I'm not bleeding. Like there is blood coming out and the nurse says there isn't...

not a medic or anything but it seems like denying bleeding would be a worse liability issue.
@Matt85 agreed. I'm perplexed. But she took off the steristrips and reapplied new ones because I was bleeding. Then said I wasn't bleeding...
