he committed suicide about 6 yrs ago. he was one of my best friends. he had a terrible drinking problem and was about to go back to jail for his 4th DWI. very sad. he had a successful landscaping business, but, the alcohol owned him. even worse, his father also committed suicide the very next day.

@SW-User i think so. he always had a great sense of humor. he struggled with alot of demons. i think he hid alot of what he was going thru by making everyone else laugh. i felt really bad for his son, who was about 21 or so when my friend took his life. he lost his father and grandfather to suicide in back to back days. sadly, his son struggles with alot of the same demons that he did.

He went swimming and became lost at sea. Many in our class believed he faked his death (he was facing jail for a 5th DWI. He also has a brother and sister in the hinterlands of Alaska)
While I don't believe it I can never resist an Urban Legend. So at reunions, etc I never resist pointing out its plausibilities!
