I'm an ENFJ married to an ESTJ. And I wonder why we have problems. I think the two parties should have to take the Myers-Briggs test in order to get a marriage licence.

Your suggestion has merit, but as a tool to help people understand themselves and their partner.
Some couples share so many traits and others share almost nothing but love. Opposite and similar personalities can make a marriage work. But it always takes work and effort. Understanding the differences in your personalities can help.

No question. And I think understanding how your partner is hard wired and talking about that has merit, as well as understanding yourself. I
