Are you an empath?

Yes, I feel guilty for doing things right for me at times. It’s definitely something I’m working on. Sometimes it makes me anxious and drained though, empath’s can feel other’s emotions, not only feel it but experience them. I was out last night with some friends and a coworker that was out for the first time since she had her baby. That coworker was becoming so anxious and on edge from being away from her baby and I noticed it so clearly but no one else seemed to which baffled me. After seeing this video about empaths it makes sense why I was so aware of it compared to other’s. I’m not even close to this woman and I immediately noticed when she started to get quiet and anxious and it made me feel anxious and upset because at the time she was clearly forcing herself to continue going on with the night even though she was worried about her baby. (Her baby was fine with her mom and she just received a photo of him at home asleep, but it was the first time she was away from him as to why she was anxious) Being an empath can leave you feeling drained because you consume other’s emotions and you’re the only one there paying attention, you’re the only one who cares about everybody else.

@Stark I see, thank you for sharing.

Yes. And certainly not because I want to be, but because it has proved itself out time and time again with how I sense and feel emotionally and react in many situations. And that I direly need my solitude.

Nah, people gotta tell me how they feel if I don't know them very well. 😅
