Emotional Discomfort

There is always a certain discomfort to growth. It doesn’t always have to be a big discomfort, but usually it takes some discomfort to go through changes.

One of the hardest emotions for me to handle has always been embarrassment. When I’m embarrassed, it wants to switch to anger instantly. One of the easiest emotions for me to feel and process is anger, though it does drain me too. I would wager that the more I feel something, the better I get at learning how to control it.

What are some of your top emotional discomforts?

Grief.
I have a very hard time processing losses.
It took me 10 years before I could even have a discussion about my son without breaking down.

It took me months to talk about my ex-girlfriend without breaking down.

I too have a tendency to become angry when dealing with other lesser emotions.
I'm not inherently violent and my anger is mostly in control, but when I'm mad everyone knows I'm mad and that makes others uncomfortable.

@DeadOrbit I know it these days. I didn't always know it though.
But thank you.
@HikingMan that is why i wanted to say it. I was raised really rough so i know some challenges we face but im definitely not going to look down on you for that.

@DeadOrbit I appreciate that.
Though to be honest, which I always am, I don't care if people look down on me or if they judge me in any way.
That's all out of my control.
I don't really like that, but that's not to say I spend time caring about it either.

It's nice to know that you don't.
Thanks.

Wishing you luck with the stressors you deal with and may less and less of them result in your frustration or anger.

Peace

Inadequacy when it comes to tasks I need to do in order to gain something. Whether it was in school to pass or at work to earn money. It always makes me feel threatened almost to a point of panic. Of course it goes hand in hand with embarrassment but it goes beyond bruised ego and leads to existential dread of not being able to sustain myself.
@CrazyMusicLover i felt this when the last of my family passed away. Like im officially on my own and have to make things work.
Humiliation. Banter gone too far. Or out of spite
. It makes me want to crawl into myself
@0uijaFinger you and your friends bantered me a lot 🤔🤔🤔
@DeadOrbit did we make you feel humiliated? If we did, sorry
@0uijaFinger no i wish we had this again...
