They don't deserve my emotional and mental maturity when they deliberately humiliate me in public, knowing it can cause distress and hurt. Leaving is the best decision; they don't get the privilege of using up another minute of my time.

Calmly ask one question: “…did you take your meds today?”

Naw. I’m not sure I’m emotionally or mentally in that particular situation. Because the one time it happened to me I actually leaned into it instead of backing away, like most would do.

I stepped closer into them. Locked eyes. Raised my eyebrow and smirked.

Apparently it was enough to defuse the situation but I’m not sure if it was mature on any level. My give a fuck wasn’t present enough to care.
