I was staying a few nights with some friends. While they were out shopping I cleaned up their house, including putting a huge collection of empty toilet rolls into the recycling bin.
The woman of the house flipped out in a huge rage. I think she felt shame that I had "judged" her lack of cleanliness. The toilet rolls were being saved for her kid's kindergarten at the request of a teacher. Fortunately, they were easy to retrieve undamaged.
I learned never to interfere in someone else's style of housekeeping.

@hartfire I think your gesture was very kind, it probably was a result of shame from her point of view. The toilet roll thing is no biggy either. 😇
