Of course there is a certain happiness to be found if you have necessities of life and job satisfaction, family, etc.. But as a relationship with God is what we are built for you will be missing the most important thing. I would stress though that the Christian life in particular is not about ‘being happy’ - it is finding fulfilment in God’s purposes.
