I never thought pain could feel so affectionate

I have burn scars around my eyes from radiotherapy back in 2017, they’ve been tender to touch ever since. But I kinda like it when he does. It hurts and call me weird, but it’s a sweet kind of pain whenever he touches my face. As disfiguring as these burns on my face are, he still sees enough beauty in it to caress me.
