I Act Older Than My Age

Sadly I think life often forces us to grow up too fast.
We take on unrealistic responsibility at such a young age, not realising that we're missing out on part of the growing up experience. Namely, being a little reckless. Experimental even! And learning from the results !
From my own experience I can say that I had so much responsibility at a young age it's certainly coloured my view on life !
But I was determined that my children shouldn't have it !
I think I largely kept that promise. Although their mother didnt !
Ultimately it does affect your character.
You end up being the 'Go-To' guy for everybody !
And that can be very wearing.

There are times ti be goofy and others where you need to know how to conduct yourself around other i think is what she is saying. And I agree. You can be as young as 10 or as old as 70 and still do goofy silly things but know when to do them is where the maturity comes into play which, seems to me, she understands.

I feel they should act that way in all situations.
