What personalities do you typically stay away from?

Victim mentality. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me.

It's such a useless outlook. All it does is absolve one of accountability in their own mind, but it doesn't change what one is responsible for in reality.

Even if it isn't your fault, you still have to fix it. Life is unfair that way. So might as well get busy.

@CynicalSpaceMan I find it's kind of a red flag when people go on about victim mentality, though, because maybe I'm talking about something that's endemic to modern society that we need to do something about, and what I'm doing for myself is raising awareness so that more people will be outraged.

@LordShadowfire well acknowledging a wrongdoing, be it systemic or otherwise, and having a victim mentality are two different things.

Basically if the explanation ends with "and thats why there's nothing I can do" then that's victim mentality and thats where you lose me.
