I am comfortable living with my imperfections, which is the best we can hope for in any relationship, imho. None of us is perfect. I look back on where I came from--no indoor plumbing, no electricity, bed-ridden for four years--to where I wound up--rewarding career in accomplishments as well as financially, world travel to places I never expected to see, 43 years with a wonderful soul mate who gave me two great and successful sons, two grandkids already launched on significant careers of their own, and additional 10 years of companionship with a second remarkable partner, a host of friends and colleagues strewn across the planet--and I am satisfied I did an acceptable job in my life's journey.
