If you were going to babysit younger you today, what would you do together?

I'm back. There's a lot I haven't written about, but here I am now
Today I came across a post that said "if you were going to babysit younger you today, what would you do together?"

I shared it with a 'friend' and she said she'd take herself to the movies....

Guess what my answer is? (I didn't share this answer with anyone). If I were going to babysit younger me today, I would walk away, not spend a single second with her. I would walk away and let her continue to play and have fun because I feel like I would make her world dark with all the negative energy I have within if I stayed. I think she had an ok childhood. What she needed was freedom and no one judging her telling her to stop doing this and start doing that. I would quietly walk away, but maybe she'll feel lonely/betrayed/abandoned?

Anyway, I think it's sick that if I were to take care of younger me, I would abandon her. I didn't think about making her food, didn't think about doing anything. I think it's sick. What kind of sickness it is? no idea

I think I understand your reasoning. But why wouldn’t you sit in the same room and just make sure no one bothered her while she played?

For my younger self, I’d go for a walk with her, because that’s what I enjoyed back then. Still do. Then we’d go get McDonald’s because I have some money for it these days. We didn’t often when I was a kid. I got some when I was student of the month, or sometimes when they had the 50-cent deal and my family consisted of only 6 of us.

I would sit down and have a nice, long talk with him. Teach him about my life experience that he has yet to experience and what to do or what not to do. Teach morals, how to be a proper man, whatever. Explain to him better paths in life. Basically, give him the cheat codes to my life.

Legos! I loved building things with Lego’s still do. I used to keep a bowl of them on my desk. The other engineers laughed at first, but I’d often come back to my office and find something someone had built with them and left for me to find.
