I found a video on YouTube that makes toothpaste at home? Do you think this is reasonable?

Not sure if making your own toothpaste makes sense, but nobody should ever use sugared toothpaste – where sugar as an ingredient is often hidden behind beautiful words such as "Xylitol". Xylitol is just one special type of sugar. It's legal to say "sugar-free" but that's a legal deception.
Find one that does not contain sugar. If it's sweet it contains sugar.
I do not use any toothpaste, I just use my brush and warm water, and it works perfectly. My teeth are pretty and healthy.

@helenS But in my opinion, using toothpaste is necessary. Because using water may only wash the teeth, but it does not help to prevent tooth decay

@asalezm Then at least please don't use sugared tooth paste. "Tooth decay" is usually caries, and caries is caused by acids produced by bacteria in dental plaque. These bacteria live from sugar on your teeth.

@helenS not necessarily , some toothpastes contain xylitol, an artificial sweetener that actually inhibits bacterial plaque growth . Xylitol sweetened chewing gum is a good stop gap measure if brushing is not possible .

@TexChik Thank you – I didn't know, I thought Xylitol is just a special kind of sugar. 🌷
