Is it stalking to do something because someone I admire does it?

Hi, I'm kind of a more of an introverted and anxious person. I've always read books about conquering fears and talked about doing it, but was never completely successfull. I met someone at my university and I immediately liked his personality, he's open, extroverted, fearless... He was my lecturer and I also talked to him about my struggles once and he did help me.

He also told me so many times that I should not be scared so much and somehow I developed this theory that maybe if I do exactly what he does I can also become more like him and less fearfull. So, I knew he was a climber, so I started rock climbing, I knew he did paragliding, so now I'm taking paragliding courses... And it does help me, I did become more extroverted and I met so many new people and I'm really proud of myself.

I don't climb or fly with him, as he's in a completely different league anyway. I met some poeple who know him in the alpine club but that's it.

Does it make me a stalker that I started climbing to be like him / to become someone like he is?
What will he think if he ever finds out I started because of him?

No not at all. We are inspired by others to try new things.
