Do you think there is life on other planets?

@Zaphod42 Professor Carl Sagan once told a bible thumper, during a debate, that to think we are the only ones in our vast expanding Universe is quite ignorant, then he wrote Contact.

@Zaphod42 Professor Sagan definitely was, he'd be rolling over in his grave if he would have known just how much of a sellout his protoge, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, has become.

@NativePortlander1970 I dunno about that. Certainly NDT has had an abundance of time on camera, but people like him, Brian Cox, Brian Greene, Amy Mainzer, and Michio Kaku are serving an amazing service in bringing science to the masses and keeping anyone who cares to know in an abundance of information on current happenings. My only issue with Tyson is simply that he dumbs down the science too much, treating us all like 5th graders in his delivery. To be fair, a good number of people probably need the information at that level to grasp it, but it still annoys me, lol.

@Zaphod42 Tyson cares more about his celebrity status than anything, his favorite self promoting tagline is America's favorite astrophysicist, a very narcissistic viewpoint, while Professor Sagan was very humble.
