The U.K. isn’t just good for general history. If you like the pre-Christian religions there’s traces of it everywhere.
We’re lucky. If you came from Iceland, Ireland or Estonia or Germany or Italy - You only have one pagan past and one set of archaeology to explore with it.
The U.K. had Celt, Roman, Anglo Saxon and then Norse paganism and there are traces of it everywhere. It’s not grand sweeping temple complexes but it’s nice to hear the stories and think what happened where you live. 🙂
This isn’t for everyone. But walking on my grandparents farm know the hill is 3 barrows with ancient kings inside is fun. Lookout for the wights…👻
