My own mother likely made some of the insulating electrical connectors herself. ITT canon had the contract to make them. As well as for the whole Apollo flights.

Yes.

BTW, it's not about belief with me; it's more about how strong the evidence for a moon landing is, and how weak the counter-evidence is.
being · 36-40, F
I mean if airplanes can fly... Yeah, probably we did.

...

Although I received a message recently from a friend stating that the moon is an empty satellite put up there by fallen aliens, morphing time, emotions and hormones 13000 years ago. Same that have been behind lost Antlantis.
Go figure, you know.

Yep. I watched and listened to it all happen in 1969.
Ducky · 31-35, F
Of course, and we learned it's actually really boring. Which is why we've never gone back.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Ducky I think our astronauts found something there that they weren't supposed to, but that's neither here nor there. We all agree the moon missions themselves happened.
4meAndyou · F
☺☺☺ Yes, I do.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
Of course. 😒

Of course.

Tbh, I feel flat earthers and moon landing deniers don’t actually disbelieve these things. They just enjoy being in a cult and rage baiting.
Magenta · F
@WanderlustCat And enjoy the drama and attention.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Yes, of course.
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
We’ve been to Uranus too
beetlebumdont · 26-30, F
I used to think its def real, knowing a lot about astronomy. On the other hand americans want to be first at everything so wouldnt be surprised if they faked it just for that. We could have the technology to do that now, but theres bigger things to do, like fighting off the asteroids
craig7 · 70-79, M
Yes - on two occasions in 1969,then twice again in both 1971 and 1972.
Penny · 46-50, F
i do. why would they make up an elaborate hoax to fool the people? it doesnt make any sense ot me so i doubt it. i also choose to trust the government lol haha. but still, why would they make it up? theres no good reason.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Penny I mean, the main reason why they would have, had they chosen to make it up, is the fact that the US was in a huge space race with the USSR, and the USSR had already beaten us to space, and our government was under a lot of pressure to prove that America was superior to the USSR.

But as I said in my own answer, it would be so much harder to fake the moon landing, keep everybody quiet for the rest of time, and pray nobody found out, then it would have been to physically send somebody to the moon and back.
Lilymoon · F
They filmed it didn't they? 🤷🏻‍♀

Physically or chemically?
@basilfawlty89 I'm sure they mean physically

How does one be somewhere chemically?
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@sstronaut depends on the strain, bro
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Of course we were. Quit asking.
YoMomma ·
No just political propaganda
Fallflower · 46-50, F
I'm not 100% convinced. Why isn't moontravel an industry for billionaires who are bored out of their minds?
@Fallflower Because there are only about 3,000 billionaires in the world, of those 3,000, how many of them have an extra billion to throw away on a a month worth of training and 7 day trip to risk their life to see some rocks?

Space travel is not safe yet, rockets still explode trying to get to space.

You also don't see billionaire bored out of their minds going to war zones, as it's not safe and not worth the risk.
Pfuzylogic · M
The Soviet Union would never have let that claim go unchallenged if they thought we had not actually done it.
meJess · F
You can see the flag when the orientation is aligned
@meJess really? I didn't think you could even see the lander
Well with all the challenges that have been made to the moon landings; the Mandela Effect, that video that guy in a trailer park made, one of them must be valid

@Tumbleweed There's one in every crowd!
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
What kind of question is this? Of course I do! It would be harder to stage the missions and keep it hushed up all these years than it would be to send somebody through space to the damn moon.
