The Blood Moon

A celestial spectacle awaits many of us. An eclipse called the Blood Moon shall make its presence visible to us in our skies this evening. The Blood Moon eclipse is essentially a total lunar eclipse. Eclipses happen a few times yearly, but the blood moon is a total eclipse. It is a moment when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon. Astrologers view this alignment as a special moment when a karmic shift happens, when transformation occurs. There shall be clarity through introspection, revealing truths otherwise hidden, as well as closure for past things and an opening for new ones.

The moon is scientifically known to affect the length of the days on Earth and what causes the tides in oceans to rise and fall through its gravitational pull; therefore, it is no wonder why many moon lovers believe it has a power over humans as well. May this celestial alignment encourage men and women to come together in peace and harmony. With this thought in mind, I would like to share a beautiful song that expresses this.

@LilyoftheValley each full moon has a different name. I am searching for my photos of a red moon, if you would like.

@samueltyler2 That's beautiful, thank you.

@samueltyler2 nice shot what did you use for that shot of the eclipse??
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@masterofyou I can look for it if you want the exact figures. I own 3 Nikons, a D3400, a Z50 and a Z50ii. I also have a max zoom of 200mm for the D3400, 250 mm for the Z50s.

@samueltyler2 No that's not necessary just wondering what you used..

From 1982 to 2003

Most of my lunar shots were done using Ectacrome 200 using a Celestron C8 at primary focus T-adapted to a Olympus Om1 slr body all on slides later digitized..

From 2003 to present i use all my Canon D series from 10D to 80D
Still using my Celestron C8 and C5 cassegrain scopes

You can see my collection of telescopes on my page....

@masterofyou I have thought about getting a longer lens or a telescope.

@samueltyler2 the C8 is a 2000mm fl at f/10 the C5 1250mm at f/10 the older orange tube Celestrons were all made in the USA built rugged my first C8 i purchased in 1977 and still has excellent optics...
