“I’d go to the Moon in a nanosecond. The problem is, we don’t have the technology to do that anymore. We used to, but we destroyed that technology,

and it’s a painful process to build it back again.”

--Don Pettit, NASA Astronaut

“Painful” being to the NASA budget, which is a sliver of what it was at the height of the space race

@SW-User do you not realize the contributions that NASA has made to everybody's daily life everything from velcro to the hard drive was invented through NASA funding.
@AbbySvenz This guy has a reputation of making outrageous posts. He craves attention from whoever he can get it from. Don’t try to use reason, it just feeds him.

@BlueSkyKing You do realize that repetition does not make something true, right? And your expectation of it becoming true true through repetition just makes you insane.
Actually, we've never had the technology to go to the Moon in a nanosecond, Astronaut Pettit, which would be faster-than-light travel! I guess rebuilding our understanding of science & reality might be important, too!
